Working With Concrete?

Getting a Cert III in Concreting Just Became Guaranteed.

As of 1^st November 2014 getting a Cert III in Concreting just became very achievable. Whether someone is working as a casual or permanent - in fact even unemployed – a person is now able to be trained under the Cert 3 Guarantee Queensland Government initiative, which means the Government will subsidise the qualification.

 

For a person to be eligible they only need to fit the following criteria;

·         Australian citizen/permanent resident or NZ citizen

·         Permanently reside in Queensland

·         15 years or older

·         No longer at school

·         Not currently enrolled in or previously completed a Cert III (or higher) qualification. (Note: Cert IIIs completed at school are not counted)

The Certificate 3 Guarantee is a key initiative under the Queensland Government's five-year training reform action plan, Great skills. Real opportunities.

If you are currently working within the construction industry using concrete (eg; builder, fencing, hard landscaping, labourer, road worker etc.) then this is an opportunity for you (or your team) to get formally recognised for your skills within concreting. For workers with experience with concreting the process is quick and easy.
